Award-winning contemporary choreographer and master teacher based in New York City. Known for blending classical and modern elements, his choreography “Vitruvian Man” has captivated over a million viewers on YouTube.
David’s works include Five Variations on a Theme, created for New York City Ballet Principal Joaquin De Luz, which earned standing ovations globally during the Kings of the Dance tour. He has also choreographed for American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, and the Youth America Grand Prix Gala.
Beyond choreography, David brings his passion for teaching to international projects. He will travel to Kenya to create Dance on a Dream for Ghetto Classics Dance in Nairobi and to India to teach at Shanti Bhavan, featured in Netflix’s Daughters of Destiny.
Trained at the Royal Academy of Dance in Mexico City and under the Vaganova method, David’s diverse performance career includes TV, opera, musicals, and ballet. A highlight was performing with Mikhail Baryshnikov in The Doctor and the Patient.
As a dance filmmaker, David won the Los Angeles Olympus Film Festival Award for his public service short Moving Through It. Sponsored by NYC Emergency Management, the piece reimagines storytelling through dance.
